“I’ve been planning my wedding since June, and we are getting into the last 100 days, and I only regret one thing about my wedding: my maid of honor! She has been probably the hardest person to deal with. First, she hated the bridesmaid dresses, then even when I agreed to go shopping but had one rule no chiffon she had to make a snide comment about it in front of my Step-mom. Who being great responded “didn’t you already have your wedding?” Well that being said, even with a new bridesmaid dress she’s been a jerk. Another bridesmaid texted everyone to remind them to get their dresses ASAP, and my MOH threw a fit and chewed me out that someone else texted everyone. Even though I asked her to in two months before this and she still hadn’t done it. Then she made a comment about how much the dresses cost ($160) So I offered to help her out since she said she didn’t have the money. Well, today I found out even though she doesn’t have the money for a bridesmaid dress she had the money to go on vacation over the weekend, and I’m furious. What on earth should I do?” – Amanda
@CrazyJewishMom: Well, I’d like to commend you on your no chiffon rule. This should be a life rule for humanity. However, GROW UP! Listen, be happy you’re getting married and not on track to be alone and get eaten by a herd of your own cats like MY spawn.
@KateFriedmanSiegel: Hey, thanks mom!
@CrazyJewishMom: Listen, enjoy yourself, you only get married once. Hopefully. So, don’t sweat the small stuff. Just ignore her.
@KateFriedmanSiegel: Yeah, I don’t think there’s much you can do at this point. Her behavior is definitely annoying and rude, but it’s not like this girl murdered your dog. I don’t know; wedding planning is already stressful enough.
@CrazyJewishMom: Hah! How would you know?
@KateFriedmanSiegel: I’d IMAGINE wedding planning is stressful enough, so try to let the little (admittedly rude) things go. Your energy would be better spent enjoying the fun parts of this!
@CrazyJewishMom: Just put her at the kids table for revenge and call it a day. Or next to a creepy uncle!
