#WhatTheHellHappened: To The Woman Who Couldn’t Decide If She Should Follow Her BF to Asia or Not

This week for #WhatTheHellHappened, we caught up with “Anonymous.” She was super in love with her boyfriend, but not so sure whether she should move to Asia for him or try long distance. For once, my #CrazyJewishMom and I agreed! Sort of. So, #WhatTheHellHappened?

Here’s a refresher on “Anonymous’s” original story, and an update from her below!

“So, my boyfriend and I have been dating for about 8 months now, and he’s the first guy I’ve had a serious relationship with and also the first guy I have truly loved. Since before our relationship began; however, he has talked about wanting to spend a few years living abroad in Europe or Asia and has just started seriously looking into it. We’ve dealt with long distance before, since I am 5 hours away, finishing my university degree, but we’ve never dealt with different countries or time zones. I’m not sure how I feel about that much distance. Since I am graduating in May, I’m at a point in my life when I could go with him, and I’ve always wanted to travel after school. But I don’t know if I necessarily want to live where he’s going, and I’ve never thought of myself as the kind of person that would follow their significant other to another country to keep a relationship going. On the other hand, I’m definitely open to new experiences, and I do love him. I’d love to get your opinion on this, any advice is appreciated. Thanks!” – Anonymous

So, #WhatTheHellHappened to her?

“We did break up, our lives were just going in different directions. It’s all for the best though, we both thought it was time to end things, and we are still on good terms. We both work abroad now, but we are still in touch.

I’m currently work on cruise ships, saving money for school and seeing some amazing places :)”

@CrazyJewishMom: That’s right! Career first, penis second! Focus on your education and career; you have plenty of time to figure out your relationships!

@KateFriedmanSiegel: I’m sorry it didn’t work out with him, but I think you made the right decision. It sounds like you’re doing so well! And who knows? Maybe you’ll come back together some day!

@CrazyJewishMom: Oh please! On to bigger and better manmeat!
